The Integration Services team uses separate intake processes for integration requests depending on whether the integration work will be a Project or Platform as a Service (PaaS).
If the Integration Services team is doing the work then the Project Intake Process is used. If the Enterprise Service Bus and API Manager are being used by other UCSF developers for their own integration needs in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) model then the PaaS Intake Process is used.
Project Intake Process:
- Discover - Define scope and requirements
- Assess - Solutions design, Roles and responsibilities
- Plan - Timeline and Funding
Platform as a Service (PaaS) Intake Process:
- Discover - Define scope and requirements
- Assess - Performance and sizing metrics
- Provision - Access
Interface Request Form
Both intake processes begin with an integration request. This can be submitted via the Interface Request form available on the ServiceNow Employee Self Help Page. This form can be used by users across UCSF for all integration requests including Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), API Manager and integration consulting. To access the form select the Consulting And Development option in the Order Specific IT Services section (will require MyAccess login) and then click on Interface Request.
